Biography

Mr. LaRocca obtained a BA in Psychology graduating from Texas Tech University in 2005. He spent the next several years working in community mental health case management, early childhood intervention, and youth ministry. He subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Houston–Victoria. Mr. LaRocca is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a member of the American Counseling Association.

Mr. LaRocca treats adults of all ages, teens, and children ages 10 and up along with their parents. He treats individuals for depressive and anxiety symptoms, bipolar and mood stabilization difficulties, anger and behavior issues, and individuals having trouble adjusting to difficult situations in work, school, and/or their personal lives.

Mr. LaRocca utilizes an eclectic theoretical framework that integrates Cognitive Behavioral, Existential, Humanistic and Dialectical Behavioral modalities. He has been a provider with Greater Houston Psychiatric Associates since 2019 and has completed additional training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) which he adapts and integrates into his individual sessions with his clients when clinically indicated.
