Heather Sauer, MD

Dr. Sauer received her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and her MD degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She subsequently completed both a residency in Psychiatry and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She served as Chief Resident during her fellowship. She is board certified in both Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

She maintains memberships in the Texas Medical Association, and Harris County Medical Society.

In addition to her outpatient practice, Dr. Sauer is currently the Clinical Medical Director for Youth Services at Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital where she works with children, teens and adults.
